How to Become a Florida Tree City USA
To qualify for Tree City USA, four standards must be met as established by The Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters.
New applicants can download an application form from the Arbor Day Foundation website: New Applicant's Form. [ ] Once they complete the form and attach their supporting materials, they can mail their application to the urban forestry coordinator at the address listed below.
Existing Tree City USAs must apply each year for recertification by no later than December 31. They can also download a paper recertification application form from the same web location and submit the application in the same manner as the new applicants. Or, they can apply for recertification using the new online application procedure. The Arbor Day Foundation will provide them with a user name and password to access the application site: Recertification website They will be prompted to enter information and upload documents there.
